The Shikoku Ken
The Shikoku Ken is a medium-sized, primitive Japanese breed originally developed for hunting boar and deer in the mountainous regions of Kochi Prefecture on Shikoku Island.
Known for their intelligence, agility, and unwavering loyalty, these dogs are considered a national treasure in Japan. Their sesame, red, or black and tan coats, along with their alert expression and curled tail, make them instantly recognizable among Japanese breeds.
